California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)

Currently, there are very few athletic sports programs offered within the homeschool network in Southern California because of inability to participate in the California Interscholastic Federation. Usually, any homeschooled student wishing to pursue athletics affiliated with the CIF, will need to decide if giving up their homeschooling freedom is outweighed by the benefits of participating in high school sports.

CIF Admittance through EMH

EMH believes participation in high school sports can be rewarding for homeschooled student/athletes. With this concept in mind, EMH can provide an equitable sports program for homeschool membership through specific charter schools for inclusion in the CIF.

Wherever applicable, EMH will petition the CIF in behalf of the charter school. EMH will be responsible for scheduling/maintaining all interscholastic games, events, and meets. In an athletic advisory capacity, EMH will provide forms/materials to each center that can be incorporated into their athletic program.

Intramural Sports

EMH will assist in developing intramural sports teams. Intramural sports are designed to invite students of varying levels of ability to participate in a team sport.

Management/Development of Sports Program/Curriculum

EMH can manage or develop a sports program for your school that can become a promotional benefit for the student athlete. We can manage your current teams or develop a program with your sports of choice. Please contact us for more details.
